This book will get you started playing your flute very quickly with small steps: Learning the parts of your flute, how to hold it, your first Note, 5 hole vs 6 hole, scales, varying the notes, vibrato, a page to write your own song, fingering charts and more.   You also get 22 songs to play and learn from. 

There is also a section on taking care of your flute.

This book is 30 pages and comb bound so it lays flat. 
Native American flute music comes from the soul, and is normally extemporaneous, but sometimes it is useful to have some music to practice as you learn to play it, and that is why this book can fulfill a special need.  
This book uses the same principle of tonal graphics as do the other Simple Songs books: the graphics are mirror images of the holes that must be covered to produce the tones. These books can even be used by those who have never read music before.
